Do you want to update your knowledge in key areas of dementia care?

Hosted by the SA & NT DTSC in collaboration with the NSW & ACT DTSC, the Knowledge Transfer Workshops will provide an update on research, an exploration of its practical application and an opportunity to put forward your ideas on the direction future research should take.

Workshops are led by the researchers from the national Dementia Collaborative Research Centres. Presenter and topics include:

  • Professor Richard Fleming: How to improve the physical environment for people with dementia.
  • Dr Peter Spitzer and Dr Belinda Goodenough: SMILE STUDY – use of humor with dementia and practical tips.
  • Professor Dimity Pond: The practice nurse role in dementia identification and management.
  • Dr Eva van der Ploeg: Reducing behaviours of concern and the use of Montessori activites.

Plus more presentations from national and local researchers on key issues and in dementia care.
