In the UK, the Prime Minister’s Challenge on dementia has stressed the importance of involving people with dementia in research. This workshop will look at the experience of the Dementia and Ageing Research Team at the University of Manchester in involving people with dementia and their families in the research process, from planning to conduct to analysing data. Particular attention will be paid in the workshop to the method of centre stage diagramming that John has developed alongside Dr Sion Williams at Bangor University. The workshop will be participatory and will enable participants to share their own experiences, successes, concerns and challenges
